Are You Addicted To Taking Actions?

As soon as you start getting some success with taking action.

You start to act like you are eating chocolate and want more and more.

It can become addictive to satisfy your emotional needs.

The question to ask is “Will taking action satisfy your business needs?”

You have to first ask this question before you can wake up from your overdosing on too many actions.

Taking Action has a benefit and payoff. I could go into your bodies internal drugs within you that trigger different types of emotions like Dopamine and Adrenaline, but let’s just stay with the Emotional Highs and Pay off you get from taking actions.

If you are able to structure your actions you take, so they move your business forward, then you have done a great job.

You would surprised with the amount of business owners who are not linking actions to grow their business. You probably don’t need to read any more of this article, just go take more action because you are effective.

If you are not linking the actions you take daily to grow with your business, then you are unfortunately addicted to taking action for the sake of doing stuff. You probably love the rewards you get from completing actions.

This is not so bad, you are at least taking action, some people struggle to take action.

Your action that you need to take now is to align the actions with growth.

Take a step back and think about the actions you’re taking. What will the specific actions you take do for your business? If it’s a nice thing to have done because you can now say you’ve completed it. Then that is a prime candidate to be put on the second list.

Think about the next action you can tie to growth. For example, if I improve the quality of my blog articles on my website and have quality links to products to buy. Then I will be able to link that action to growth. It’s just a matter of testing the theory with your action and did it grow your business.

Every action needs to start going through this type of scrutiny till you can do it this way without thinking.

This may seem too simple, but can make a huge change in the trajectory of your business once you add up more of these types of actions, instead of the action for the sake of completing them process.

It will be hard to transition to this mindset. You will find yourself slipping back to try to get more done. Remember, it’s not quantity, it’s quality.

Your Outcome

Now that you have control of your addiction, you will be able to focus on solid definable Outcomes for your business.
