If growth is dependent on you, then how do I use this to my advantage?
The growth of your business, whether you realise it or not is dependent on you.
The energy and passion that you have for your business is the underlying drive that gives your people and customers reason to spread the word about how good your business is.
The first place to start with is understanding what is Your Purpose in Business and in particular your business.
Some people are always on purpose; they have a clear vision of where they see themselves spending their time. They are able to get passionate about their business because it doesn't work for them, it's just doing what they love to do.
How do you get to this level?
- 1Take a step back and really think what are the skills that you have in business that will contribute to it being successful.
- 2What do you really want to do and be? What is your Purpose in life? (This is important because if it is completely opposite to your skills, then you have just found the mismatch).
- 3Match up what you really want to do with the skills that you have and set a new direction your business will now take.
- 4Once you have your direction, plan out how to implement your direction.
After reading these steps you may be close to this level already. If you are that’s great, it may take some minor adjustments to ensure that you get that extra 10% needed to get there. If you are further away you will need to be very conscious of the steps to make the changes and be on track to living with passion and on purpose.
What are the benefits?
Being on purpose, is that easy feeling that you get occasionally when everything lines up. Everything comes easier for you, you are fully motivated and you’re in that flow. Imagine if you are able to have that feeling all the time.
You wake up every day with a direction you are heading in, feeling confident.
To have the feeling that what your business is doing is for a greater cause, greater purpose drives business growth.
